After mixed month of January where we saw blockbuster “Agneepath” but dismal “Players” too, February started with dismal note. “Gali Gali Chor Hai” failed miserably as script to star cast nothing worked for it.

Then came another anticipated film from Dharma Productions “Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu”. Though it generated mixed response but still it worked well with its target audience in multiplexes and that is why it went on to become a clean hit. It trended really well in 2^nd week and handsome overseas collections gave the boost to total economics of the film. It was 4^th consecutive hit for Imran Khan and Kareena too continued with her golden run at box office.

But after this small budget ventures like “?”, and “Married To America” sank without a trace as expected. “Ekk Deeawana Tha” was next awaited film starring Prateik and Amy Jackson studded with music of Rahman but it failed miserably due to poor performances and script. Director Govind Menon failed in his comeback venture.

Last week of month saw release of two light hearted love stories on same date – “Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya” and “Jodi Breakers”. As happens most of the times, one succeeded but other failed. TNLHG proved sleeper hit riding on word of mouth and small town appeal but “Jodi Breakers” crashed after decent start because of bad reviews and pathetic word of mouth.
