All new Films tanked badly at box office and will be losing venture for producers. “4084” was best of the lot with collections of around 2.5 cr to 3 cr nett and “Ghost” was somewhat similar with 10% higher collections in 1st week.
Other two movies “Sadda Adda” and “Tutiya Dil” had shows cancelled all over on weekdays. There is no common sense among producers to release 4 movies at one weekend and then not a single one in next weekend.
“Don 2” Is Almost Done With Its Run
“Don 2” is still running in its 5th week with decent no. of shows but its collections almost over. Now it is running with increased no. of shows in 5th week in comparison to 4th week because there was no new release this week.
It will though help the movie to cross 230 cr gross to become 2nd highest worldwide grosser of 2011 as it is only couple of crore short.
Films like “Rockstar”, “The Dirty Picture” and “Murder 2” had made come back to keep distributor interested. “The Dirty Picture” is still doing good after 7 weeks which is really extraordinary.
