"RAAZ 3" Opens Well Due To Emraan's Star Power
“Raaz 3” was expected to take a good opening and it has done exactly that. Reports are mixed but these are on expected lines. Film has found appreciation in smaller centers and single screens though not so much in metros and multiplexes. But riding on sex anhorror genre coupled with Emraan Hashmi's brand pull, film managed very good opening.
Film has taken an extraordinary opening in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Delhi but CI, CP and Maharashtra are average. Film has occupancy of 35% for 2D shows and 3D shows are sloghtly better at 40-45%. Advance booking is good forlater part of the day and that is why occupancies will be better in evening. Film had good business yesterday in paid previews and collected approximate 0.50 cr nett.
This is the widest Emraan Hashmi release in 2200 screens ("Jannat 2" was 1950 screens) and that is why film is aiming magic figure of 9 cr nett in oder to become highest opener for Emraan Hashmi and at the moment that doesn't look impossible. As per early estimates, film is heading for 7.5 cr nett Day 1 and a good jump in evening can take it beyond 8 cr nett.
