"BARFI!" Finishes Outstanding 1st Weekend
“Barfi!” has shown what a good content can do even in todays time at box office when item numbers, silly scripts and just a showcasing of superstars for two hours work at box office. A mute hero, an autistic leading lady and an honest film - generally a recipe of disaster but audience lapped it up in big way restoring faith in good cinema.
Film started with 8.70 cr nett on Friday which was just good but 38% growth took it to 11.50 cr nett on Saturday. Today film grew almost everywhere and housefull shows aere norm of the day in multiplexes.
Filmwas humogous in NCR, Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai and grew in a big way in Gujarat, Rajasthan, CI and CP. Film collected 13.75 cr nett as per early estimates on Sunday and a good perforance in night shows can take this figure higher though metros might effect due to working Monday.
Film will perform well on weekdays too and 1st week in the range of 47-49 cr nett will be a fantstic result for the film. Film is also performing very well in overseas so that will also add to film's kitty.
