"BARFI!" Scores Big On Monday
“Barfi!” has done superb business over the weekend and it was expected to hold on well on weekdays. And that is what film has done on Monday and to be fair, it has over exceeded the expectations.
Film collected 34.10 cr nett in 1st weekend and Monday was super strong again. As per early estimates, film collected 6.75 cr nett on Monday taking film’s 4 day total to 41 cr nett plus. This means film is eyeing 55 cr nett 1st week which is fantastic for such a small release (1300 screens).
Film was steady in Gurgaon, Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Indore, Surat and in many urban towns. Ironically film will affect next release “Heroine” coming Friday which is also produced by U TV, the makers of “Barfi!”. Makers did not expect such a response for the film almost on the lines of “Paan Singh Tomar” which also surprised same production house earlier in the year with emphatic business.
