This Independence Day is special for Bollywood box office as there is a movie releasing which has been dubbed as the most anticipated movie of recent times. Trade is expecting that Salman Katrina starrer "Ek Tha Tiger" will become the highest grosser ever beating "3 Idiots".

 These expectations are not just based on rumors or past records but there are hard core facts behind it. Film has tried and tested male lead actor and female lead actress who have been quite consistent in recent times. Plus they are coming together in the film by No. 1 production house of country for the 1^st time.

 Film is red hot among trade but rather not so hot music has pulled back the film little bit as it reduces film's repeat value and female audience. Nevertheless Salman's mass hysteria will ensure record breaking opening beyond doubt.

Film will score big on opening day (Wednesday, 15^th August – a holiday), Sunday (Holiday) and Monday (Holiday). It will be really interesting to see how far film can go in terms of creating new milestones. But all the very important business on weekdays depends upon acceptance of content and film’s repeat value. As of now, film is looking to rock all box office records by fair distance or in worst scenario it will become the highest grosser anyways. One has to remember that film will be releasing with higher number of prints that is almost 3500 where “3 Idiots” was released with 1500 prints. Plus film will enjoy 15% higher ticket prices and that will itself lift the collections.
