SHAADI KE SIDE EFFECTS Had Average Day One

''Shaadi Ke Side Effects'' was never expected to start big at box office  but due to solo release factor and recent upsurge in the box office status of Farhan Akhtar, film was expected to do better.

Film started well in Delhi/UP, East Punjab and Mysore. Overall film has taken 25% opening. Film was strong in multiplexes but single screens were dull and will remain so in coming days.

Film collected close to 5.45 cr nett on opening day which was just average for a film made on 40 cr budget. Film was hit in Rajasthan due to protest over producer Bala Ji''s TV serial and lost around 25 lakhs of business.


Film collected best in East Punjab and Delhi but was poor in UP, Bihar and Maharashtra. Even Mumbai was below average. Film will find tough to grow big from here and anything close to 18-19 cr nett weekend looks good from here but from Monday onwards it will be a tough ride going by the trend.
