TOP 3 MOVIES WITH BEST DIALOGUES Of 2011
1. Rajat Arora (“The Dirty Picture”)
It is the most heartening development in Bollywood this year that “dialoguebaaji” is back with the success of “masala” films. “The DIrty Picture” surprised everyone with its humongous figures at box office and writer RajatArora got his due with appreciations showering on him from almost every quarter.
There was not a single dull moment in movie simply due to imaginative and entertaining writing from Rajat. If he was very good last time around in “Once Upon A Time In Mumbai”, this time he was doubly good. He just made everyone clap across multiplexes and single screen. Vidya’s quirky lines and Emraan’s stylish narration were full of Rajat’s powerful writing. Have a look at few gems -
“tere chahne wale aage kichaar lines mein baithte hain, peeche ki saari rows meri hain”
“Har aadmi ke liye ek aura thain, agar ussey bach gaye to samjo zindagi bach gayee”
“Jab zindagi ek baar mili hai to doosri baar kyu soche”
“Mujhe to chadhi zehar ki tarah ki ab pani bhi peeta hu to aag lag jati hain”
“Kya re tujhe holi khelne ka bahot showk hain magar suna hain ki tere pichkari mein dum nahin ”
2. Farhan Akhtar (“Don 2”)
“Don” (1978) was famous for its dialogues and Farhan failed to live up to that level with his 2006 version. But this time with “Don 2- The king is back”, Farhan made sure he takes it to the next level. Throughout the film SRK’s dialogue stands out and raises the bar.
Lines were not only massy but were also edgy and intelligent.
Sample these ones-
“Aap meri maa ko nahin jaante the”
“Is mein na tumhara faayda hoga na mera, faayada sirf kutton ka hoga”
“Don’t call me sir, bada sharif sa lagta hai. Call me don”
“Don apne doston ka dhyan rakhe na rakhe par dusmon ki khabar zarur rakhta hai”
3. Prakash Jha (“Aarakshan”)
PrakashJha is the champion of realistic cinema for decades but he gave few Box office successful films too in recent times i.e. “Raajneeti”, “Aparhan” and “Gangajal”. This time around he made “Aarakshan” based on the issue of education system and reservation. Film failed to meet public expectaions due to wayward second half but dialogues were hard hitting and relevant.
Saif Ali’s dialogues in first half got claps as well as raised the social issue with dignity. Film is a classic example of entertainment with content due to crispy lines.
Watch out for the shot when Saif has heated exchange with ManojBajpayee in canteen…simply mind numbing lines!
BEST 5 SCENES of 2011
There are scenes which sometimes remain in memory more than the movie itself. Here are the best scenes from 2011 -
1. Sex imitation shot – “The Dirty Picture” VidyaBalan’s character sitting in her room imitating “sounds” of couple who are having sex in next room. It established the character “Silk” in the beginning – boldness, naughtiness and witty in nature. Not much said but everything conveyed that too in such a bold manner.
Claps and claps and more claps.
2. Shahrukh’s entry – “Don 2” This movie had series of shots which got clap from audience but SRK’s larger than life entry in the movie in first shot takes the cake. Public went berserk and unprecedented noise became nor even in multiplex.

3. Salman takes off his shirt and says Mazaaaaya - “Ready”
Salman does it every time but every time itis magic. During the climax of “Ready”, Salman takes off his shirt and thensays, “Mazaa Aayaa”? From there on you can see only smiles and listen claps intheaters.
He did same “stunt” in “Dabangg” and “Bodyguard”.
4. Paragliding scene – “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara” This film was full of sensitive scenes but the paragliding shot was the best one. Farhan’s character has phobia of heights but he is forced to do Paragliding. It clearly depicted that how important to fight demon within yourself.
No doubt, touching and affective.
Kareena in car tells SRK’s son that she is Ra.One – “Ra.One” Film was full of thrilling sequences and special effects but the shot where Kareena’s character is “possessed by Ra.One was real surprise. From there on until SRK ‘s character overpowers her in train sequence and “Raftarrein’ playing in background, were the most exciting moments of this not so liked film.
Thrill at its best!
