CHENNAI EXPRESS Crosses 121 Cr Overseas Post Egypt Release
"Chennai Express" broke every possible record at domestic box office and finally managed to cross 225 cr nett mark. Film was huge in overseas too which was no surprise due to SRK factor but film did some real big figures despite massy genre.
Film was rock steady for almost a month and managed to collect 226 cr nett plus in 7 weeks at domestic box office. Film will finish with 226.50 cr nett lifetime total at domestic box office with a share of 126 cr All India.
Film released last Friday in Egypt and despite it was the first film to be released there after quite some time, film opened to packed houses. Film was as good as 75% occupancy on working days. Film collected 2.25 cr in 4 days and it seems that film will finish with minimum 3.5-4 cr figure at the end of the run.
Film will be released in few more regions in coming months and it looks good to become highest grosser ever in overseas too. Mammoth!
