ARTICLE 15 Is Steady At The Box Office
Ayan Ranjan (Ayushmann Khurrana) an IPS officer gets his posting in rural India, where he has to tackle all the caste disparities and uncomfortable truths in the face of a gruesome crime. The rape and murder of two Dalit girls, whose bodies are found hanging from a tree soon after his arrival in Lalgaon, is what urges Ayan to attempt a study of caste.
He further gets acquainted with Gaura (Sayani Gupta), his own colleague Jatav (Kumud Mishra) and the underground Dalit resistance leader Nishad (Zeeshan Ayyub). Ayan is committed to getting to the bottom of this, refusing to buckle down despite obstacles and threats lurking in almost every corner, even with relentless pressure to close the case as quickly as possible.
Article 15 had a healthy weekend at the box office. The weekend collection of the movie was as, Friday: 5.02 cr, Saturday: 7.25 cr and Sunday: 7.77 cr, which makes the total collection of the movie 20.04 cr.
Even on weekdays, Article 15 is steady at the box office by collecting 3.97 cr on its 1st Monday and 3.67 cr on its 1st Tuesday. The total collection of the movie now becomes 27.68 cr.
