DANGAL Crosses 500 Cr In China In Two Weeks Flat
Some films create history at box office even in its extended run and that is what 'Dangal' is doing long after its domestic release. Film just released in China and Taiwan over the last weekend. Film was a huge release there and was promoted by Aamir Khan over there.
Film took stupendous start from day one itself as it collected close to 14 cr followed by 100% jump on 2nd day. After huge weekend 72 cr nett, it was super solid on weekdays too. Film collected huge 18.50 cr on Monday, 29.50 cr on Tuesday, 26.57 cr on Wednesday and 38.75 cr nett on Thursday
Film had 1st week total of 29.13 million $ (187.42 cr). Film collected 39.42 cr (6.14 million $) on 2nd Friday, 13.86 million $ (87 cr) on 2nd Saturday and 12.53 million $ (78 cr) on Sunday taking 2nd weekend total to humongous 84 million $ (200 cr plus). Film has 10 day total of 382.69 cr (59.74 million $) which is more than film collected in India. Film added 4.86 million $ (32.50 cr) on Monday and 4.92 million $ (32.91 cr). Film collected 3 week total of 78.39 million $ (507.34 cr). It will cross 100 million $ by end of 3rd week.
It is first Hindi film ever to cross 60 million $ overseas and it crossed 1100 cr gross worldwide which is again first for a Hindi film. Going by the trend it has legs to cross 100 million $ in China itself. It has chance to catch up with 1251 cr global gross of 'Baahubali' sequel which is heading for 1400-1500 cr gross global finish at best.
Overall a huge lifetime total in China is on the card! All time blockbuster!
