DANGAL Continues To Score On Weekdays in 3rd Week
Probably Aamir Khan is the only actor whose films come with reassurance of blockbuster status. His latest release 'Dangal' looked like too realistic and dry but it managed to score big at box office in big way.
Film started on solid note and continued to grow throughout the day as reviews were positive. Film released in 4100 screens and had dubbed versions too in south. Film was solid in central India, Haryana/Punjab and Mumbai. But Gujarat and Delhi were on lower side.
Film collected 29.78 cr nett on day one which is 2nd best for Aamir Khan and 2nd best non holiday opener. It is also 2nd after 'Sultan' opening day in 2016. Despite such a huge 1st day, film grew on 2nd day and collected 34.82 cr nett. Film is outstanding in north India as it broke all single day collection record. Film added 42.35 cr nett on Sunday with huge growth.
Film has 1st weekend total of 106.95 cr nett including dubbed versions. Film was outstanding in overseas with 6 million $ plus number. With open weeks and holidays to offer, this will be huge in coming days. Another blockbuster from Aamir!
'Dangal' had a whopping first week. Collected 29.78cr on Friday, on Saturday 34.82 cr, on Sunday 42.41 cr, on Monday 25.69 cr, on Tuesday 23.09 cr, on Wednesday 21.46 cr and on Thursday 20.29 cr. In the second weekend, on Friday the movie raked in 18. 59 cr, on Saturday 23.07 cr and a whopping 32.04 cr on Sunday. The movie was strong on the weekends, it collected 13.45 cr on Monday, on Tuesday 10.46 cr, on Wednesday 09.23 cr and on Thursday 09.12 cr. It has now become the highest grosser ever as it collected 06.66 cr on Friday, 10.80 cr on Saturday and 10.00 cr on Sunday breaking PK's record. Further, 'Dangal' continued its exceptional run at the box office on the third Monday after its release with an impressive 4.25 cr nett
