Emraanstarrer film “Rush” will be seeing light of the day soon as film’s fate ishanging in balance for quite some time now. But as the graph of Emraan’sstardom going upwards producers have decided to revive the shelve project.
A year after Shamin Desai passed away, his wife Priyanka and producers Percept Picture Company had revived the projectleft incomplete by the filmmaker. And finally, the project that Priyanka calls"their labour of love" is all set for release. Renamed “Rush”, thefilm that was earlier known as “Raftaar 24x7” will now hit the theatres onOctober 26. Interestingly, this will also be Emraan Hashmi's first Eid release( Bakri Eid).
When contacted, Priyanka sounded happy. "It is a big moment for everybody. It was very sweet of Emraan to give us those dates even on days when he wasunwell. The release date has been worked out. This is Shamin's vision and hehad shaped the project. I am sure he will be very happy to see his projectmaterialise and hit the theatres," she told us.
Lead actress Neha Dhupia shared similar feelings. "Theloss of a genius like Shamin is irreplaceable. I know he is watching us andhope we do him proud," said the actress.
After Shamin passed away, the film got stuck. While many believed that theproject has been shelved, his wife Priyanka worked hard to revive it. In April2012, the Emraan Hashmi - Neha Dhupia starrer was revived. Theactors, especially Emraan, who was now a more popular actor with a choc-a-bloccalendar, helped Priyanka complete the film. Three songs were shot in Goa and afew remaining portions were shot.
