After the trailer of much-awaited romantic thriller, “EkTha Tiger”, was banned in Pakistan, actor Salman Khan and director Kabir Khanare planning to visit the country to personally sort out the matter.
Pakistan's Electronic Media Regulatory Authorityissued a letter to all its TV channels and cable networks, asking them to "refrain fromairing promos/reviews" of the film as they believe it is aimed attarnishing the image of the country's intelligence agency, ISI.
Rafiq Gangjee of Yash Raj Films (YRF), which hasproduced the film, had said: "Certain films in the past have shown thecountry (Pakistan) in a bad light, but unfortunately, we have to pay the price. It's possibly as a result of this that the theatrical trailer of “Ek Tha Tiger”has been restrained from being aired in Pakistan."
Now, there's a ray of hope for Salman Khan's fanacross the border. "Neither Salman nor I have ever visited Pakistan. Sowhy not? We are willing to do anything that's required to make Pakistanisbelieve that our project is not against them. I don't think the trailer beingbanned is a big deal. Once the film releases, the truth will be out,"Kabir told a daily.
