Shaad Ali took self imposed exile after his last film bombed at box office. He went back to his master Mani Ratnam and assisted him in Abhishek Aishwarya starrer "Raavan".
Filmmaker Shaad Ali Sahgal, of "Saathiya", "Bunty Aur Babli" and "Jhoom Barabar Jhoom" fame, is all set to start his next directorial venture titled "Kill Dil". The film is about the tricks the heart plays on an unsuspecting victim and for the main lead, Shaad has finalized his good friend Ranveer Singh. Besides Ranveer, the film will also have another male lead and a female lead both of whom are yet to be finalized.
Post "Kill Dil", Shaad also wants to make a film on the life and times of his grandmother Captain Lakshmi Sahgal (the legendary freedom fighter) who passed away recently.
