Monday, 13th August 04:00 PM IST It looked like Priyanka Chopra woke up on the wrong side of her bed recently, when she got an out-of-the-blue call from producer-director K C Bokadia. He informed her that the film she had done with him is ready for release and that she is needed to promote it. A source close to the actress told Mirror,She got the shock of her life as she didnt remember having shot any film with Bokadia. It took her a while to realise he was talking about a film titled "Deewana Main Deewana" that she had done opposite Govinda nearly a decade ago. It is long forgotten by all concerned except Bokadia, and rightly perhaps, the producer-director feels he can release the film any time. It wouldn't do Priyankas career any good though. Particularly since her last release "Teri Meri Kahani" was a box office debacle and shes looking forward to the release of "Barfi!" And the story doesn't end there. The source revealed Bokadia intends to release his film alongside the Priyanka-Ranbir Kapoo rstarrer. His rationale is there will be a spillover audience, keen on seeing more of the actress or simply walking into a theatre nearby showing Bokadias film because they couldn't get tickets for "Barfi!" While it looks like wishful thinking on Bokadias part, the producer-director has gone a step further in claiming "Deewana Main Deewana" is only two to three years old when it is clearly not so. Bokadia confirmed the news and said, "I am releasing my Govinda-Priyanka starrer "Deewana Main Deewana" in September. And since the film revolves round Priyanka, it only makes sense that she comes forward for its release. The rest is upto God. I am very excited about the film since Govinda and Priyanka have never been paired before. However,Priyanka and Govinda don't seem to share Bokadias excitement. A source close to Govinda said, He is not used to such old films suddenly popping up from his past. If it makes the producer any richer, good for him. As for Priyanka, its anyone's guess that having a dated film claiming attention alongside "Barfi!" could be harmful to her prospects.
