When the 'Dabangg' of Bollywood was asked about the process throughout the movie 'Notebook', Salman said, "We did a lot of work. The backdrop of the love story was also changed a lot because it was based on Kashmir. It is a beautiful love story." We asked about how much input did he give in the script of 'Notebook', the actor laughed and said, "Credit lena kabhi kabhi bhaari pad jaata hai." He added, "This script came to me and I thought this is a very good story. But I also feel that my image has been changed now so I couldn't do such movies now. It is not like the script was extra therefore I gave it to Zaheer and Pranutan. I thought that this script needs a fresh pair and therefore I decided to launch new faces for 'Notebook'. Talking about the debutantes Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Bahl, Salman said, "Aisa nahi hai ki ye Mohnish ki beti hai aur ye Iqbal ke suputra hai isliye ye log select ho gaye hain. Inhone bhi bahot auditions diye hai and therefore they got this movie." Salman was also asked about what does he enjoy more — producing or acting. To which, the bhaijaan replied, "I enjoy both. Production needs more work. There's scripting and music and all. The team looks into it but still you have to look into editing, scripting etc. Though I wanted to start my career with direction that didn’t happen, thankfully (laughs). Someone asked Salman if he was done with love stories and is into other genres now. To this, the actor said, “I feel till the time you don’t have a love story in a movie, it’s not interesting. There has to be a love story in every movie and at some point there is.” The one piece of advice that Salman Khan wanted to give to the young actors is, "Stay out of trouble." Directed by Nitin Kakkar, Notebook is scheduled to release on March 29. |
