By Reema Chhabda - September 3, 2019 Shuttler PV Sindhu became the first woman to win the BWF World Championships, wherein she outplayed Japan's Nozomi Okuhara in straight games 21-7 to lift the women’s singles title. This was an iconic win for PV Sindhu which got her appreciation from a lot of people. Now, all eyes are on the badminton player’s biopic, which is going to be produced by actor Sonu Sood. And like most of the people, PV Sindhu, too, wants to see Deepika Padukone stepping into her shoes for the biopic. Bollywood has a trend of making biopics nowadays, which is running really well. Such movies are loved by the audiences and history is shown in terms of cinema rather than only staying in school books. One such movie will be the biopic of the talented badminton player PV Sindhu. Talking about the movie, PV Sindhu said, "Yes, he (Sonu Sood) told me. But I could only speak to him for a few minutes." And when she was asked whom would she like to play her on the silver screen, the player replied, “Would definitely want Deepika Padukone to play the character. She had played the game and is a good actor too. But then, the makers would take the final decision." Deepika Padukone, who is a daughter of international badminton player Prakash Padukone, has been a national level badminton player herself. So it would not be difficult for her to get into the role. On the work front, Deepika will be next seen in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak, a tale about an acid attack victim and Kabir Khan’s ’83, which also stars her real-life husband Ranveer Singh in the pivotal role. |
