Tuesday, 9th January 2018, 06:00 PM IST According to sources, the makers of ‘Aiyaary’ has decided to postpone the release date of the film to avoid box office clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ‘Padmavat’ and R Balki's ‘PadMan’. Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Padmavat’ was slated to release on December 1 but got delayed due to controversy. Recently, CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi had announced that the film would be given a U/A certificate and suggested that the makers change the film's title from ‘Padmavati’ to 'Padmavat'. Now, it is heard that it will arrive in theatres on January 25. ‘Aiyaary’ was going to clash with Akshay Kumar's PadMan on Republic Day. Then, the ‘PadMan’ makers preponed the release date of the film and announced that they were releasing it a day before, i.e, January 25. So, if sources are to be believed, the team ‘Aiyaary’ postponed the release date of the film to February 9 to avoid the big box office clash. The film, directed by Neeraj Pandey, features Sidharth Malhotra as an army officer sharing a mentor-protege bond with Manoj Bajpayee and is based on a real-life incident that revolves around two strong-minded army officers having completely different views and are yet right in their own ways.
