These days all south blockbusters are followed by their remakes in Bollywood. Though Aamir kind of started it with "Ghajini" but manof the moment Salman Khan is first choice of every maker from south.


Salman Khan has had enough of Bollywood remakes. So recently when the makers of "Dookodu" (The Mahesh Babu blockbuster) approached Sallu with the idea of a Hindi remake, Khan rejected the offer. Also Salman is in no mood to play a cop in any other franchise other than brother Arbaaz's "Dabangg".

Now with Salman Khan out of the picture, the makers need to quickly zero onto another hero with a similar fan base and profile. According to sources, the project might fall into Akshay Kumar’s kitty.

Having had a disastrous run with his recent comedies, Akshay is looking at getting back to action in a big way.

He already has Prabhudeva’s "Rowdy Rathore" lined up for a June release. And those who have seen the rushes are placing very high bets on the film’s success.

Also, "Dookudu" has a mass appealing mix of action and comedy – Two genres Akshay is very comfortable in.

Coming back to Salman Khan, he has even refused to do the remake ofArya. Clearly Salman does not want his fans to have an overkill.
