Athiya Shetty Undergoes Football Training For Her Upcoming Movie

Thursday, 7th June 2018, 3:45 PM IST Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty made her debut in Bollywood opposite Sooraj Pancholi in ‘Hero’, was last seen in Anees Bazmee’s ‘Mubarakan’ opposite Arjun Kapoor. The actor is all set for her next in which she will be seen as a football player. Inspired by the Kashmiri female football player, Afshan Ashiq, the film titled Hope Solo will showcase her controversial story from a sports persona to being termed as a stone-pelter. Hope Solo marks the Bollywood directorial debut of Manish Harishankar, who was an assistant in ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani’, ‘Halla Bol’ amongst others. Saiwyn Quadras, who has previously adapted the life story of ‘Mary Kom’ and ‘Neerja’, will be writing the script of this film. Athiya has already started preparing for the role. She has been practicing football and has been taking training too. Athiya will also have to learn Kashmiri language to master the accent for the film. The film is currently in the pre-production stage. However the official announcement of the film has still not been done.
