Friday, 30th May 2014, 05:15 PM IST Shilpa Shukla, who made her name while acting in movies like ‘B.A. Pass’ and ‘Chak De India’, will be making her directorial debut film in her hometown Vaishali, Bihar. The film is set to be a children’s film which is to be shot in Vaishali, which is a small town in Bihar. Shilpa is adding the final touches to the screenplay for the film. The film revolves around a little,Phoolkumari. "Shilpa had spoken about the film to the Children's Film Society, who had expressed interest in producing it. But then she got busy with her other film commitments," revealed a source. Shilpa was actually supposed to work on Sujoy Ghosh's upcoming thriller which stars Kangana Ranaut. But since Kangana opted out of the project, the film has been indefinitely delayed. The actress confirmed the story saying,"Yes, I am doing Sujoy's film. But since it has got delayed, I will start work on my film to be shot in my hometown. The film is an adaptation of a chapter from the book, ‘The Guide to Boddhisattva Way of Life’ by renowned Buddhist scholar, Shantideva." "The story is based on the virtue of patience. I wanted to direct it as it lends itself very well cinematically,”she added.
