Friday, 18th October 4:30 PM IST Deepika Padukone is in the limelight again, this time for striking a profit-sharing deal with the producers of her upcoming short film Finding Fanny Fernandes. Apparently, Deepika has taken a pay cut for the film being directed by Homi Adajania. Usually, such deals are struck by stars who give blockbuster performances, like Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor etc. However, Deepika’s recent hits in the form of ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Chennai Express’ seems to have helped her cause. A close source revealed - "Deepika was very keen to be a part of the film and she has a close relationship with Homi and Dinesh Vijan, the producer of the film. She has worked with the producers in ‘Cocktail’ and ‘Love Aaj Kal’ so didn't mind taking her price down for the film. But there is a clause which mentions that if the film makes money Deepika will get a share as well." The source further added - "‘Finding Fanny Fernandes’ is not a regular Bollywood film and if Deepika charged her usual fees that would make the project expensive. That is why it was decided that her remuneration would depend upon the business the film eventually ends up doing."
