Music Composers: Clinton Cerejo Lyricists: Amitabh Bhattacharya Sujoy Ghosh’s “Kahaani 2” is a Thriller featuring Vidya Balan & Arjun Rampal in lead roles. This one unlike a lot of other films is not a plot sequel but indeed a franchise sequel to Kahaani. The film is all set to release on Dec 2nd, 2016. The album starts with the song ‘Mehram’ beautifully sung by Arijit Singh to the lyrics penned down by Amitabh Bhattacharya using the word ‘Mehram’ a very strong Islamic word which is aptly used describing the relationship between the sweet child & Vidya in the film. A sensitive yet modern composition by Clinton Cerejo. Ratings: 3/5 The second and last song of the album is ‘Auur Mein Khush Hoon’ sung by one of my personal favorites Ash King sounding soulful & zestful adding life to the lovely lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. A happy and musical composition by Clinton just makes you want to leave all the stress behind and get lost in this one. Ratings: 3.5/5 The music album of ‘Kahaani 2’ is proof enough that a film does not need enumorous number of songs to prove a point but just two to create magic. A short & sweet album. Not allowing it to overpower the plot but complimenting it instead. Simple compositions, amazing lyrics & some adorable singing. Ash we need more of you !!!!!!!
