It’s Official! PADMAN Pushed To February 9th

But now, this clash has been averted. Today evening, Akshay Kumar called in a press conference where Sanjay Leela Bhansali was also present. Here, they both announced that ‘Padman’ release has been shifted to February 9th, and now ‘Padmaavat’ will be a solo release on January 25th. Sanjay stated, “I feel grateful as Akshay Kumar shifted the release date of ‘Padman’. He didn't even take two minutes. With Akshay's film releasing alongside ours, we would have been in problem.” Akshay Kumar said, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali asked me if I could postpone the release date. I felt like I should because we are a family.” Akshay also added, "It is very essential for them to release the movie as quickly as possible. I understand it and hence we shifted 'Padman'.” It seems like it is a smart decision for both the films.
