John Abraham’s ROCKY HANDSOME Gets Into Trouble With CBFC

Reportedly, due to extreme violence, the film was given an ‘A’ certificate but the makers are not ready to accept it. A source said, "If you've seen the original Korean film ‘The Man From Nowhere’ that too was a very violent film. ‘Rocky Handsome’ has scenes of graphic violence. There are also references to human trafficking; the flesh trade and violence against children. No censor in the world would allow this film for universal exhibition." According to the grapevine, the makers refused to take an 'A' certificate and insisted on a 'U/A'. A source from CBFC said, "We gave them a clear 'A' with no cuts in spite of the violence. But they insist they want a 'UA'. No censor in the world would allow children to see the violence in ‘Rocky Handsome’."
