Saturday, 31st May 2014, 03:10 PM IST Karan Johar in a recent interview spoke about why he roped in Mohit Suri for an upcoming venture ‘The Intouchables’, whose rights he acquired through his friend Guneet Monga, who negotiated the deal with the international studio. Confirming this, KJo said,"It's a film I loved and wanted to make and Guneet went to great lengths to acquire the rights for us."
Getting Mohit on board was an easy decision for Karan, who says, "I've admired his work since the beginning of his career. He has a way of telling stories in a heartfelt manner. This was a perfect opportunity for us to collaborate. I have a very warm personal relationship with him and hope that professionally too, we will have a strong and long association."
Says Mohit, "Karan and I found common ground much before ‘Aashiqui 2’ released. When most people weren't even giving the film importance, we started meeting and found a connect. ‘The Intouchables’ is one of the loveliest films I've seen and both of us are sold on the story. It is full of emotions and our remake will have a lot more tears, drama and fun."
Though there have been speculations about the cast, Mohit asserts the film is still being scripted and casting decisions haven't been taken yet. | |||
