Tuesday, 30th Aug 2016, 11:02 AM IST Music Composers: Vishal-Shekhar Lyricists: Kumaar, Manoj Muntashir 'Akira' is an Action Drama, Directed by AR Murugadoss and a remake of a Tamil Film Mouna Guru. Sonakshi Sinha plays the main lead in the film along with Konkana Sen & Anurag Kashyap. Let’s see if the music album is as powerful as the plot. ‘Rajj Rajj Ke’ is the first song of the album sung by Sonakshi herself along with Vishal Dadlani on the strong lyrics penned down by Kumaar. The singing is a great attempt by Sonakshi who sings in her own voice without trying to sound like anyone else. This one scores well in its composition as well. Ratings: 2/5 The second track ‘Purza’ sung by none other than Arijit Singh is a cute fast romantic one. What are exceptional about this one are the lyrics by Manoj Muntashir. The composition is trendy yet slow paced & quite rhythmic. A little like poetry. Ratings: 3/5 The third song of the album ‘Kehkasha Tu Meri’ in Shekhar Ravjiani soothing voice and is a treat to the ears. A lovely compositin doing complete justice to the descriptive lyrics penned down by Manoj Muntashir. Ratings: 3/5 ‘Rajj Rajj Ke’ once again in Nahid Afrin and Vishal Dadlani’s voice. Now that’s what differentiates a singer’s trained voice from an actress. So the job should be left to the one who does it best. Actors should act & singers should sing :) This one scores .5 extra for that & it’s remixed version. Ratings: 2.5/5 The next song of the album is ‘Baadal’ sung by Sunidhi Chauhan. This one’s a sensitive number but sounds too outdated & boring as a composition. Ratings: 2/5 The music album of ‘Akira’ comes across as sensitive and somewhat powerful. But it has nothing to rave about may be the plot of the film will do that for us.
