Wednesday, 5th Aug 2015, 11:19 AM IST Music Composer: Ram Sampath Lyricist: Puneet Krishna Karan Anshuman’s ‘Bangistan’ starring Riteish Deshmukh, Pulkit Samrat and Jacqueline Fernandez is all set to hit the screens on 7th Aug. The movie is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under their banner Excel Entertainment. The music of the film is out, so let’s see what’s there in store for us. The album starts with a full-on peppy track ‘Ishq Karenge’. It’s a lively number with a touch of desi music. The styling of the track is somewhat similar to what we heard in the 80s and 90s, and that impresses us a lot. Vocals of Sona Mohapatra, Abhishek Nailwal and Shadab Faridi are fantastic in the track. There’s also an EDM Version of the track and that is better than the original one. Ratings: 4/5 Next comes in ‘Hogi Kranti’, a track that perfectly explains what the movie is all about. The music is quite catchy, but there’s also a subtlety in the track. The lyrics are amazing and as we earlier said it explains the theme of the film and the characters. Ram Sampath and Abhishek Nailwal have sung the track flawlessly. Ratings: 3/5 With the next song ‘Saturday Night’ get ready to dance. It’s an amazing foot-tapping number with high-on energy beats. This track turns out to be one of the best party numbers of current times. Aditi Singh Sharma, Benny Dayal, Neeraj Shridhar and Janusz Krucinski’s vocals do justice to the song. Ratings: 3.5/5 After peppy and foot-tapping numbers, the next song in the album is ‘Maula’. It’s a meaningful number with great lyrics. The music is soulful and the track touches our heart. Puneet Krishna has done a commendable job with the lyrics. Ram Sampath and Rituraj Mohanty’s vocals suit the track and are effective in the song. Ratings: 4/5 ‘Meri Zidd’, the next track in the song is a surprise packet. The song starts on a very soulful note, but it turns into a rock number. The music is fantastic and the rock music is really impressive. Well, the lyrics of the track once again are quite meaningful and the combination of the rock music and such lyrics is hardly seen. But, Ram Sampath’s music and Puneet Krishna’s lyrics turn out to be a fantastic package. Ram Sampath and Siddharth Basrur have sung the song wonderfully. Ratings: 3.5/5 And the last song in the album is ‘Is Duniya Se Ladna Hai’. It is a full-on masala entertaining song and this one too has some really impressive lyrics. The desi music in the track will surely make you shake a leg on it. Suraj Jagan and Abhishek Nailwal’s voices are too good in the song. Ratings: 3.5/5 On the whole, sensible lyrics and enjoyable music make the album of ‘Bangistan’ a must-hear. Ratings: 3.5/5 Music Review By –
