Abbas Mustan’s upcoming action thriller, which is an adaptation of literary classic ‘The Count Of Monte Cristo’, was set to roll once Saif Ali Khan returned from his prior film commitments. However, the news coming in is that Saif Ali Khan has walked out of the film stating that the role he plays is similar to the one he plays in the ‘Race’ franchise.

Saif said that he would like to play different roles keeping the audience’s tastes in mind. Saif admits that he was excited about the lead role he was offered in the film at first but then later on he decided to back out.

Following this news, the film, produced by Azure Entertainment, has its fate left undecided.
