The Viral Fever’s Jitendra Kumar to play Ayushmann Khurrana's love interest in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan

By Nikhil Bisoi - June 07, 2019 Bhumi Pednekar and Ayushmann Khurrana's 2017 romantic comedy Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is still fresh in our minds. A while back, Ayushmann Khurrana, who has a knack for offbeat films, announced a sequel to the hit film, titled Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. Now, he is essaying the role of a gay man in the film. And we know who will play the role of his love interest. According to reports in an entertainment website, Jitendra Kumar, who has been seen in many web shows, including the recent viral series Kota Factory, will play Khurrana's love interest. The report says, “The character is of a small town boy and the makers wanted to take an actor who can pull off the character with ease. The makers wanted a relatively fresh face and after doing the rounds of auditions, Jitendra fitted all the bills. Although he has not signed on the dotted line yet, he is the one.” The film will release on Valentine's Day 2020. It will clash with two films - Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan's yet-untitled next film with Imtiaz Ali and Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani starrer Malang. Ayushmann is currently awaiting the release of Article 15. He will also star in Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan's Bala, which has been caught in a plagiarism row.
