Wednesday, 31st Dec 2014, 7:15 PM IST In 2014, we saw many movies breaking records at the box-office. Some movies reached 200cr club and some reached 100cr. There were films which didn’t get good reviews, but were successful at the box-office. And there were also movies that got exceptional reviews from the critics, but unfortunately failed at the box-office. And here’s the list of top 5 underrated films of the year. 1) ‘Dekh Tamasha Dekh’: This social and political satire film grabbed the attention of the critics and got exceptional reviews. But, with low promotions and no star power this movie went unnoticed. The movie starred Satish Kaushik, Tanvi Azmi and Vinay Jain.
2) ‘Yeh Hai Bakrapur’: ‘Yeh Hai Bakrapur’ was a social satire set against the backdrop of an Indian village. Moviegoers hardly knew about the movie and it became a disaster at the box-office. However, it received appreciation from critics.
3) ‘Suleimaani Keeda’: ‘Suleimaani Keeda’ a comedy about two writers was screened at film festivals. But, when it was released it hardly got noticed by the audience. This comedy surely deserved to get a better box-office collection.
4) ‘Zed Plus’: ‘Zed Plus’ starring Adil Hussain and Mona Singh was hardly promoted. The movie got fantastic reviews from the critics. But, the fantastic reviews failed to give the movie a good collection.
5) ‘Aankhon Dekhi’: Like all the other movies even ‘Aankhon Dekhi’ was not promoted well. The film received thumbs up from critics. But, it was released along with Sunny Leone starrer ‘Ragini MMS 2’ and naturally failed to sustain in front of it.
