Tuesday, 21st April 2015, 5:29 PM IST Emraan Hashmi starrer ‘Mr. X’ has not fared well at the box-office. If sources are to be believed, just before the release of the film, the makers of it – Fox Star Studios and Bhatts – decided to edit out 10 mins of the film. A source said, "When all the post-production was over, and after the film was censored, the producers decided to knock off around 10-12 minutes of extra footage. This is most unusual. It indicates that there was an internal uneasiness about the film's fate." "The Bhatts kept plugging ‘Mr. X’ as a movie for children. They wanted to change the profile of Emraan Hashmi's audience. It didn't work," the source added. It’s a matter of concern for Fox Star as in recent times except ‘Bang Bang’ almost all the Bollywood films that Fox Star has produced have proved to be a failure at the box-office.
