Thursday, 23rd April 2015, 12:43 PM IST Madhuri Dixit and choreographer Terence Lewis have come together for a five-day dance festival, Jugnee. The festival will start off from South Mumbai, NCPA, and travel all the way to the Andrew’s auditorium in Bandra. It will start from 29th April and it is a desi version of a dance festival held in Germany. The event will feature performances by international artistes like Joe Alegado and Peter Jasko, and also screen documentaries on legendary choreographers. Talking about the festival, Terence said, "We have some terrific talent out there who don't want to appear on TV. A lot of talented artistes feel that real art is not on television, but on the streets. We want to tap into that talent bank and nurture them further." Talking about Madhuri coming on board for the festival, Terence said, "She wants to lend a hand to the cause, which she also champions though her online academy. She isn't going to host a workshop but there will be a lot of input from her on the craft that she is a master and an icon of." The winner of the festival will get a chance to visit Vienna to take part in an international dance festival. The choreographer said, "Now, that's reason enough to dance on Mumbai's streets."
