Monday, 2nd Nov 2015, 4:30 PM IST Music Composer: Himesh Reshammiya Lyricist: Irshad Kamil Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ is all set to hit the screens on 12th Nov. The movie stars Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor in the lead roles. The music of the film, composed by Himesh Reshammiya, is out. So, let’s see what’s there in store for us. The first song in the album is ‘Prem Leela’. A different take on Ram Leela, this song has everything what you expected from a Sooraj Barjatya film. The music of the song is amazing with those high-on energy desi beats. Aman Trikha’s melodious voice gets soulfulness in the track. Ratings: 4/5 Next comes in the title track ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’. The music of the song is once again desi, but Himesh doesn’t make it repetitive. This time he gets a Rajasthani folk touch in the song. However, the best element of the song is Palak Muchhal. Her soothing voice will mesmerize you. Her singing style will remind you of Shreya Ghoshal. Ratings: 5/5 After two foot-tapping numbers, now it’s time for romance with the song ‘Jalte Diye’. A soulful number with thundering beats, this one will surely make you fall in love with it. The lyrics explain the scenario of the song very well. The chorus in the climax impresses us a lot. Harshdeep Kaur, Shabab Sabri and Anweshaa have done a great job with their voices. Ratings: 4.5/5 Moving forward comes in ‘Aaj Unse Milna Hai’, a situational number which doesn’t really attract us when we hear it. However, the lyrics are unique and that will make you feel good. It’s a kind of a sweet romantic number with a lot of Gujarati food mentioned in it. Shaan’s voice makes this number a good listening experience. Ratings: 3/5 Palak Muchhal once again comes in with her fantastic voice in ‘Jab Tum Chaho’. A nice sweet number with a 90s feel to it. Himesh’s music surprises us in this one as we didn’t expect something like this from him. Mohammed Irfan and Darshan Raval’s vocals are good in the song, but it’s Palak who overshadows them with her voice. This one will keep you hooked throughout its runtime. Ratings: 4.5/5 Himesh bhai gets a full-on Gujarati number with the next track ‘Halo Re’. Explaining the love story of Radha-Krishna, this song will surely make you dance to it. If you are planning for a garba party, don’t forget to have this one in your playlist. Aman Trikha’s voice does wonders for this number and takes it to a higher notch. Ratings: 4/5 We have always heard romantic soulful numbers, but the next song ‘Tod Tadaiyya’ is new kind of romantic track which has foot-tapping beats in it. It’s an entertaining number and one word in the lyrics will remind of the track ‘Ooh La La’ from ‘The Dirty Picture’. The vocals of Neeraj Shridhar and Neeti Mohan do justice with the track. Ratings: 4/5 The next song in the album is ‘Bachpan Kahan’. It’s a soulful number, but here the music is not the hero; the best element of the number is the lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil. He has written the lyrics wonderfully. Himesh Reshammiya’s voice impresses us and he successfully makes us emotional with his voice. Ratings: 5/5 Shaan once again comes in with his impressive voice in the track ‘Murli Ki Taanon Si’. It’s more of an instrumental with not much lyrics. It’s a nice, short number that will impress you. Ratings: 4/5 The last song in the album is ‘Aaj Unse Kehna Hai’, the female version of ‘Aaj Unse Milna Hai’. What impresses us is how Himesh gels it with the title track at the end. Shaan, Palak Muchhal and Aishwarya Majumdar have sung it wonderfully. Ratings: 4/5 Overall, Himesh Reshammiya takes us back to the 90s with the enchanting music of ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’.
