Sunday, 29th November 01:15 PM IST Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for making larger than life films. Though he gave few flops in 'Saanwariya' and 'Guzaarish' but his mastery over the medium is unquestionable. After success of 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela' now he is back with another ambitious historical project 'Bajirao Mastani'. But this film is in news for releasing on 18th December and its clash with SRK Kajol Varun starrer Rohit Shetty film 'Dilwale'. To be honest, film is red hot among trade and it has potential to surprise. Today we bring you EXCLUSIVE info from this film. As we all know film is based on lives of Bajirao Peshwa, Kashibai and Mastani from 18th century. There was a well known film on similar story in 1955 titled 'Mastani' directed by Dhirubhai Desai and Agha was the main lead. It had hit songs by Mohd Rafi and had rather different happy - sad climax more of like a war film. But as per our sources close to the film, Sanjay Leela Bhansali film will have different climax. There are different versions of stories surrounding Mastani as there is no official record about her as it was intentionally omitted from history. Mastani died after death of Bajirao in 1740 but in the film she will be shown committing suicide by taking poison after death of Bajirao which is more Shakespeare sort of climax (its quite similar to 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela). This might make film more intense and dramatic. It seems like a big mammoth budget film and should score big at box office going by the buzz and fab actors. |
