Monday, 25th Jan 2016, 02:40 PM IST Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for his extravagant sets and dramatic storytelling. Back in 1998, when the filmmaker was shooting ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ that starred Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles, Salman had suggested that the ending of the film should be changed. Bhansali refused to take Salman’s advice and went ahead with the original plot. Salman wanted an end where the heroine (Aishwarya) goes with her lover (Salman) rather than her husband (Ajay). He tried to convince Bhansali, who wanted the ending to be otherwise. Salman went to the extent of taking Bhansali to his director friend Sooraj Barjatya, who spent about 90 minutes trying to change SLB’s mind. However, Bhansali refused to take his advice and did what he wanted.
