Indra Kumar’s “Great Grand Masti” is an out & out Adult comedy & an addition to the Masti series. Starring Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani and Urvashi Rautela in the lead roles is scheduled for a World-Wide release on the 22nd of July. While the film ensures complete Masti lets find out if the music album does the same.
The first song of the album ‘Teri Kamar Ko’ sung by Kanika Kapoor along with Sanjeev-Darshan the singers as well as the composers of the melodic title track. The materialistic lyrics of the track have been penned down naughtily by Kumaar. It keeps up to the pace of the film. Ratings: 2.5/5
‘Resham Ka Rumaal’ sung & re-created by Toshi Sabri accompanied by Soniya Sharma in her folk hoarse voice on lyrics written by Manoj Yadav. It’s a nice peppy number what’s really progressed from the earlier times is the mention ‘Khadi Hu Club Ke Darwaze Pe’ unlike just ‘Darwaje pe’ like in the original track. Ratings: 3/5
The third song in the album is ‘I Wanna Tera Ishq’ sung by Shivranjani Singh & Shivangi Bhayana trying to sound seductive & cheap at the same time. Goes with the plot of the film but fails to sex-cite oops sorry excite the listener. Ratings: 2/5
‘Lipstick Laga Ke’ is the last track composed by Superbia and sung by Shaan along with Payal Dev to the lyrics of Sameer Anjaan .Very unlike of a Shaan song looks like Shaan’s been gripped by the latest music trend as well. However it’s a peppy composition which is nice to blast while you drive long. Ratings: 3/5
The album of ‘Great Grand Masti’ is quite an entertaining one and keeps up to its past reputation that the previous series have had. It’s time we put a stop to treating a woman like a commodity through those not so cool lyrics and show some respect, leave that bit aside & it’s a great grand album full of Masti. Ratings: 3/5
