Anil Kapoor To Play A Bhendi Bazar Vendor In FANEY KHAN

Monday, 1st August 2016, 02:00 PM IST Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is all set to roll ‘Faney Khan’ starring Anil Kapoor in the titular role. The filmmaker has worked with Anil’s children, Sonam Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor. Sonam worked in ‘Delhi 6’ and ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ with Rakeysh while Harshvardhan has worked in ‘Mirzya’, which is yet to release. Talking about ‘Faney Khan’, it is a satirical film in which we will see Anil as a local vendor in the crowded and popular market of Mumbai, Bhendi Bazar. Anil at a recent event revealed about his character he said, “I play a Muslim from the Bhendi Bazar area. It is a colourful vibrant character with a specific look and attitude. Mehra and I are working on the dialogues, clothes and accessories. This is going to be one of my most challenging and entertaining roles.” When asked if he would work with his children anytime, Anil quipped, “If all three of us come together in one film it would become a war zone. We are three strong-headed individuals with antithetical opinions on how to act.
