When recently asked why all the actors which have never worked with him were roped in for the movie, SRK said that they all predominantly work in non-commercial cinema and he wished to work with such actors. Shahrukh said, “They all come from a more real world of acting. They've done cinema which is not as popular as I've done perhaps and they will Insha Allah. But so far they haven't. So they come from a very real zone...They feel the scenes, they talk about it, they discuss it and for me to play Raees, because I'm not playing hero type, I'm playing a character, so it was very important to be surrounded people or enact with people who approach the scene very realistically.
