Friday, 17th February 12:00 PM IST IRADA Depicts Important Social Issue
Arshad Warsi is fab, Sagarika Ghatke is good, Naseeruddin Shah is decent, story is very interesting and important Minuses: edit is below par, music is boring, Sharad Kelkar and Divya Dutt overact, very slow paced
Verdict: Detailed Analysis: Arshad Warsi and Naseeruddin Shah gave sleeper hit 'Ishqiya' followed by its rather underwhelming sequel. Now this pair is back with another socially relevant eco thriller. A mysterious bomb blast in a business tycoon's (Sharad Kelkar) factory PPPL prompts the state CM (Divya Dutta) to hire an NIA officer (Arshad Warsi). He meets an ex-army man (Naseeruddin Shah) seeking revenge for his dead daughter and a journalist (Sagarika Ghatage) demanding justice for her slain boyfriend. Nothing is what it seems. The film raises contemporary ecological issue with lot of thrill. Performance wise Arshad Warsi is first grade with smart, impressive and balance act. Sagarika Ghatage is apt and fits the role. Sharad Kelkar and Divya Dutta go overboard. Naseeruddin Shah is good as usual.
Costumes are okay. But songs are just decent though lack a chartbuster. Director Aparnaa Singh has given decent film with a heart. Film lacks pulsating thrill as evidences are right there and mystery solves in a very obvious manner. Film released and will struggle at box office. Film will need positive word of mouth to score to sone extent as its opening is low.
