Wednesday, 22nd February 2016, 12:00 PM IST Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming project ‘Rangoon’ starring Kangana Ranaut, Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor has been chopped off by 40 minutes just three days before its release. The movie has already got a U/A certificate from the CBFC and just before the release, the makers decided to re-edit the movie. The decision has been taken to make the movie crisp and to the point. The length of the movie was 2 hours and 47 minutes and now the movie has the runtime of around two hours ten minutes. A source said, “Everyone in the team feels that ‘Rangoon’ has turned out to be very special. But at nearly three hours of playing time, the film was seen to be too long for today’s generation. Vishal and his producers Sajid Nadiadwala and Viacom 18 have voluntarily decided to bring the length down by more than half an hour.”
