Wednesday, 8th March 2016, 4:35 PM IST Salman Khan was acquitted by the CJM court earlier as the prosecution said since the Chinkara poaching case had been extended for 18 years, it affected the witnesses. There was no conclusive evidence stating the actor indeed used his weapons for hunting. Rajasthan Government however challenging the same, filed an appeal in the Jodhpur District and Sessions Court. Judge Bhagwan Das Agarwal has issued a notice to the actor, who is given time till April 21 to respond to the notice. Public prosecuter Pokar Ram Bishnoi, whose plea was admitted, claimed the trial court overlooked many material facts from the case. Salman Khan was earlier acquitted of the charges being illegal possession and use of arms in 1998. He was accused of hunting two chinkaras at Bhawad in Mathania near Jodhpur on September 26, 1998 and another chinkara at Ghoda farms two days later on September 28, when he was in Rajasthan shooting for ‘Hum Saath Saath Hai’.
