Kangana Ranaut Responds To Karan Johar’s Remark

Thursday, 9th March 2016, 2:00 PM IST The battle between Karan Johar and Kangana Ranaut seems to intensify as the two have been passing nasty remarks on each other quite often, and the latest to respond is Kangana! She had termed Karan a ‘nepotist’ while promoting ‘Rangoon’ on his show Koffee With Karan. This was followed by Karan stating he is done with Kangana playing the woman and victim card. And now Kangana has come out and entitled Karan Johar as the male chauvinist she is ready to fight. Kangana justified her nepotism remark by stating that she was only invited on the fifth season of the talk show while it had started long back. Coming to the victim and woman card, Kangana was of the opinion that it is demeaning to women in general, especially to the ones who are vulnerable, as the ‘woman card’ can be used for pregnant women in times of need, for one’s safety, for getting justice and for many of these noble purposes. She says the victim card too falls true as her sister Rangoli was a victim of an acid attack. She further went on to say, “I use every card possible. At the workplace, it’s the badass card to fight cutthroat competition. With my family and loved ones, it’s the love card. When fighting the world, it’s the dignity card, and for a seat in a bus, it’s the woman card. What is important to understand is that we are not fighting people, we are fighting a mentality. I am not fighting Karan Johar, I am fighting male chauvinism.” Kangana even went on to quote, “Now that Karan is the father of a little daughter, he should provide her with all these cards – the `woman card’ and the `victim card’, as also the `self-made-independent-woman card’, and the `badass card’ that I flashed on his show. We will use whatever we need to ensure no one rocks our boat.” Also responding to Karan’s comment on being gracious enough to not cut the tidbit, Kangana asserted that every channel wants TRP, Karan is just a paid host and that she is neither planning to nor will she leave the industry.
