Monday, 12th June 2017, 03:10 PM IST The trailer of ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ is making huge buzz from the moment it has released, and garnering huge appreciation. The plot of the movie has seeked attention for the important message being conveyed through humour. It is being said that the movie is inspired from the Tamil movie ‘Joker’, which starred Guru Somasundaram in the lead role. Raju Murugan's ‘Joker’ talked about a few issues, and mainly dealt with open defecation. In the movie, the heroine had rejected the hero for not having a toilet in his house and later falls for his good behaviour on the condition that he would construct a toilet before they get married. In ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, somewhat similar situation comes up when Akshay ties knot with Bhumi Pednekar. The main story revolves around open defecation here. On the other hand, it was just one part of the story in ‘Joker’, which was written and directed by Raju Murugan. Akshay and Bhumi’s performance in the trailer has been applauded by the audience. Shree Narayan Singh has directed ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, which has been penned by Siddharth and Garima.
