Saturday, 30th September 2017, 03:00 PM IST Nearly 21 years after the release of ‘Bharateeyudu’ (‘Indian’ in Tamil and ‘Hindustani’ in Hindi) which was a blockbuster upon release, the duo S. Shankar and actor Kamal Haasan are all set to come together again, and this time it is for the sequel of the same film which will be titled ‘Indian 2’. And what’s interesting is the Tamil-Telugu bilingual film which will also release in several other Indian languages is set to be produced by Telugu ace producer Dil Raju under his Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. After bankrolling several mega ventures from ‘Dil’ to ‘Fidaa’ in Telugu, the producer has taken up this very interesting project. ‘Bharateeyudu’ was notable for its striking story of a freedom fighter who rises up to fight against corruption in the post-independent India. And now, this sequel is going to be produced on a vast scale. Shankar is busy with Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’ and pre-production for ‘Indian 2’ will begin soon after that. Dil Raju said, “The film will be a Telugu-Tamil bilingual which will eventually have a wide release in several languages.
