Thursday, 29th May 2014, 05:15 PM IST Karan Pandit is known for removing his shirt on stage just like Salman Khan does in movies. No wonder he is referred to as the Salman Khan of Theatre. The actor will make his Bollywood debut in Rhea Kapoor's ‘Saat Hindustani’. This film will be directed by Rhea’s boyfriend Karan Boolani. When asked about his comparisons with Salman, the actor says, “I have taken off my shirt on stage a few times but that was the demand of the script - they were torturous scenes and not fun moments. I'm actually an SRK fan. I admire him more as a person than as an actor." Interesting! Karan was a part of several plays and commercials, and was also seen in a short film produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions titled ‘Strangers In The Night’. "The transition was inevitable as it is impossible to make a decent living simply being a theatre actor. Moreover,as an artiste, I do not believe in restricting myself to a particular medium," says Karan.
The makers of the film ‘Saat Hindustani’were tight lipped about the film, but buzz is that it is about seven Indian students studying in a university abroad. | |||
