Thursday, 29th May 2014, 06:15 PM IST Tanuj Virmani, who is the son of actress Rati Agnihotri, has bought the remake rights of his mother's superhit film ‘Ek Duuje Ke Liye’. However, he will not be able to use the title of the film. Producer-director Deepak Shivdasani issued a caution notice in a trade magazine stating that he is the exclusive and sole holder of the title, ‘Ek Duuje Ke Liye’. Deepak says that he has owned the title for nearly two decades now. A source says, “Shivdasani has stated that he exclusively has the right to produce, exhibit and distribute the film. He says that he has the rights for broadcast telecast and exploitation of the films with the title ‘Ek Duuje Ke Liye’. The filmmaker has also stated that he would seek legal action against anyone using the same title.” Deepak says that the caution notice is self explanatory. But when Tanuj was asked about this, he said that he was unaware about it. “I will have to speak to my mother about this issue because I haven’t heard about this so far. ‘Ek Duuje Ke Liye’ is not my next film anyway; but we will look into this matter,” Tanuj says.
