Writer-director Prawaal Raman’s next film is based on Dr. Ajoy Kumar's journey from an MBBS degree holder to an IPS officer and then as a Member of the Parliament. The film will see Randeep Hoodaand Chitrangada Singh in lead roles.

 

Dr. Kumar has already spoken to Randeep Hooda who will be playing his role in the film. Although Randeep has played a cop earlier, he is extremely excited. Director Prawaal said, “This isn't another cop tale or a biopic. It is a love story that plays out against the backdrop of organised crime and politics. It focuses as much on Ajoy as his better half, Reena Arya.”

 

The director also approached Chitrangada Singh twice with the role of Reena. She has agreed to play the role but is yet to sign on the dotted line. “Both are fine actors and apt for the parts. Also,it's a pairing we haven't seen before,” says Prawaal.

 

The script of the film is ready and it will start rolling early next year.
