Wednesday, 29th Oct2014, 5:28 PM IST A new track titled ‘Sharabi’ from Shahrukh Khan starrer ‘Happy New Year’ was launched yesterday. However, the track has now landed up in a legal issue. The makers of the film have received a legal notice by record company Three Records. The track ‘Sharabi’ has been sung by Manj, who was a member of the Punjabi rap band RDB. RDB had three members Manj, his brother Surj and another member Kuly (Kuljeet Ral). However, the band parted ways after Kuly died. ‘Sharabi’ was originally composed by Manj and Surj when Manj was a part of RDB. It was made under the record label of Three Records. However, for ‘HNY’ Manj sang the song and didn’t give any credit to his brother. Reportedly, Manj sold the track to Vishal-Shekhar with fake documents, which creates a copyright infringement issue. Surj along with Three Records has sent a legal notice to Red Chillies Entertainment requesting the track to be taken out or to rectify the credits.
